Immerse yourself in the splendor and spirit of the Derby Diversity Black Girl Magic Brunch—an event that celebrates the essence and empowerment of Black excellence. Join us as we unfold a morning of connection, recognition, and soulful inspiration.

 

Doors open at 11 am, welcoming you into a space brimming with opportunity and camaraderie. As you network with a community of trailblazers and change-makers, the room will come alive with a Welcome by our founder Tawana Bain, Publisher of Today’s Woman and the first black female CEO to lead one of the largest renewable energy build out in the United States as the CEO of American clean resources group.

 

At 11:30 am, indulge in an elevated buffet catered by the Black Jockeys Lounge, offering a tapestry of flavors that promise to delight every palate.

 

The heart of the event begins at noon with the Awards Presentation and Conversation: "Soul 2 Soul Nourishment." Witness an intimate dialogue led by the illustrious Tawana Bain as she sits down with honorees Tai Beauchamp, Founder Morning Mindset with Tai and Co-Founder of Brown Girl Jane and Bevy Smith, Media Personality, Author & Actress. Together, they'll delve into the profound impact of nurturing and investing in the community, emphasizing the power of giving more than we take.

 

At 12:45 pm, we turn the spotlight to honor exceptional Black men who exemplify the role of uplifting their sisters both within and beyond the corporate world. The "Shine a Light on Him" segment features, David P. Anderson COO l, Los Angeles Urban League and Festus Ezeli, Nigerian - American Former Professional Basketball Player, as they share insights on brotherhood and support of black women.

 

The brunch crescendos at 1:15 pm with a vibrant conversation with INK, Grammy award-winning artist and songwriter for Beyonce and entrepreneur extraordinaire. Engage with "Black Girl Magic Unveiled: The Majestic Art of Black Women's Style" as we explore the artistry and elegance of Black women's fashion—hairstyles that speak volumes, couture that captivates, and the unparalleled beauty of accessorizing.
