Shari A. Baughman

Shari A. Baughman is a sales and marketing development professional with more than 25 years in the publishing, advertising and events industries.

 

During her 14 year tenure with Blue Equity Publishing (2004-2018), Shari worked directly for Tracy and Jon Blue in several overlapping roles and was instramental in growing the scope, market reach and brand of Blue Equity's three major publications (The Voice Tribune, Churchill Downs Magazine and Modern Louisville) to their respective successes.

Shari specializes in market analysis, sales/sponsorship development and project development and activation. As an example of her success in the project development and activation role, Shari was responsible for the procurement and management of corporate sponsorships reaching an annual goal of $200,000 for The Voice Tribune's Best Dressed Campaign to benefit local charities. As part of the sales role for the campaign, Shari served as manager for vendor relations, manager of editorial content and oversaw all sponsorship fulfillment during the 5 year run of the Best Dressed Campaign.

 

Shari also brings to the table a plethora of experience and business connections in many spheres of influence in the Louisville area business community. Her knowledge of the business landscape is a plus for all companies she now serves in her role as independent business consultant.

 

Thriving in a multi-task environment, Shari currently sits on the Kentucky Derby Museum Gala Committee and is an active member of Leadership Louisville . She has had the pleasure of serving on several boards in the past, including many years seated on the Younger Women's Club Executive Board, the Junior League of Louisville Advisory Board and the Audience Group Business Advisory Board. During her diverse and successful career with Blue Equity Publishing, she was entrusted with the additional roles of reporter for The Voice Tribune, researching and writing a dedicated column "Around Town,” published weekly from 2005 to 2010.

Shari is a single mother of three children, ranging in age from 14 to 27, and is very active in their lives.
